SNCA’s History

The Sierra Nevada Concrete Association (SNCA) was founded in 2000 when a group of concrete producers realized the need for a cooperative effort to promote their products throughout the region.

That original group, which numbered only 4 companies, started off on a journey that would eventually grow into Nevada and eastern California's the pre-eminent regional concrete and concrete products association.

Today, with a membership of more than 30 companies, the SNCA is a multi-faceted trade association headquartered in Reno, NV. It represents companies in Nevada and California that produce ready-mixed concrete, cement, aggregate (limestone and sand), construction supplies, insulated concrete form homes, admixtures (chemicals) for concrete, and firms that provide technical engineering and certified testing of concrete pavements.

The vast majority of the commercial, residential and governmental building projects and the highway, street and airport pavement improvements that are constructed with concrete products annually are accomplished with materials produced by our members.
