The SNCA is hosting a series of Hop Topic Luncheons this year to keep you up-to-date  on the latest strategies and tactics in the industry. The first luncheon speaker is Dave Imse from Nevada Cement who will review The State of SCMs.

Mr. Imse will review the latest market trends and applications of supplementary cementitious materials that contribute to the properties of hardened concrete through hydraulic or pozzolanic activity. Typical examples are fly ashes, slag cement (ground, granulated blast-furnace slag), and silica fume. Newer forms include natural pozzolans, generally derived from volcanic materials, and manufactured products such as metakaolin, calcined shale or clay. He will discuss the properties, the market and the “green” impact of the SCM world.

Lunch will be provided.

This luncheon is free, but please register through the link provided, or email Megan at info@sierranevadaconcrete.com.
